Payroll Apprenticeship
Course content
All apprenticeships are made up of three components:
- Knowledge
- Skills
- Behaviours
Knowledge:
This element of the programme is delivered through online courses typically completed 1/2 a day per week at times to suit work schedules of the employer and apprentice. Full study materials, digital access and resources are provided with question practice for each unit of the course. Mock assessments are also available to ensure apprentices are ready to sit their End Point Assessment. 1-2-1 support to compliment your online course is also provided by your dedicated payroll specialist.
Skills and Behaviours:
These parts of the programme are delivered within an apprentices’ workplace remotely, and is a collaborative approach between employers and Peak. This will enable all apprentices to demonstrate their occupational competency and develop all required skills and professional behaviours.
The portfolio is compiled through a range of assessment briefs to provide evidence for the 12 occupational duties expected of a Level 3 payroll apprentice. The portfolio is compiled during 1-2-1 Teams sessions with the apprentice and their Payroll specialist at mutually convenient times and dates.
Functional skills
Apprentices without Level 2 english and maths may need to achieve Level 2 prior to taking their end point assessment. Apprentices who hold a GCSE or equivalent in english and maths Grade 9-4 or A to C will not need to complete functional skills. This will be agreed on an individual basis prior to commencing on the apprenticeship.
